In my career spanning three decades, I have never witnessed so many movies with similar sounding titles releasing in such a short span. Oh yes, Bollywood is incomplete without love stories, but the frequent usage of the word 'Love' has been a rarity. These films, at least those that have released [LUV KA THE END and LOVE U... MR. KALAKAAR!], were aimed at enticing the youth -- their target audience. PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA does that as well.

Deemed as the most dependable genre [youth-centric rom-com], PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA is amusing, witty, sharp and contemporary, but it does some serious talking as well. Oh yes, it arrives with zilch expectations [bunch of new actors, new director, team of new composers are responsible for this entertainer], but the efforts are worth it and the time, well spent. First-time writer-director Luv Ranjan ensures that there are wild-whacky moments aplenty, but he also smartly integrates heavy-duty drama towards the concluding moments that camouflage the rough ends in the narrative.

How to manually extract Windows Service Pack files using the command line

This applies to Windows XP, 2000, Me, Vista, 2003, 2008, 7

While there are various third-party utilities you can use to extract Windows service pack files, it is far easier to do it from within Windows.

The steps below will take a Microsoft Service Pack install file and extract its content to a location of your chosing. This is hepful for instances where you require a specific file contained within a service pack to complete the installation of a driver or application.


- Move the service pack install file to your C:\ drive (This will make extracting from the command line easier)

- Open a command prompt window and type cd\ and press Enter (This will change the prompt to C:\> as per below)

- Type SP2.exe -x: c:\SP2  and press ENTER

How to "fix Error 646" when installing Microsoft Office updates in Windows 7

Windows 7 users have recently reported errors when trying to install updates for Microsoft Office applications through Windows Update or through Microsoft Update. The errors codes generated are:

Error code 1 - 0x80070646

Error code 2 - 646

Error code 3 - "Error 1606 Could not access network location %APPDATA%"


This error known by most users are the "646 error" is an MSI installer error that will only occur when the updates are installed via the Windows Update control Panel. As per Microsoft, this problem is potentially a result of an inconsistent/incorrect environmental variable (%AppData%)

Stress not, for the fix is below:

- Open Registry Editor

- Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

- Ensure that the value for AppData is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming
To change the value, double click on Appdata, then change the string to %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming

- Close Registry editor and try Windows Update again. A reboot is not necessary.

NOTE:
If the problem persists, navigate to the following keys:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\

DMK MP Kanimozhi Arrested in the 2G spectrum case today on May 7, 2011 by CBI as the bail was not granted. According to sources, the CBI today told a special court that Kanimozhi controls the affairs of Kalaignar TV which received Rs 200 crore bribe from Dynamix Balwa According to sources, the CBI today told a special court that Kanimozhi controls the affairs of Kalaignar TV which received Rs 200 crore bribe from Dynamix Balwa group, a beneficiary in the scam. "Controlling mind of Kalaignar TV is Sharad Kumar but behind the scene the person who is controlling everything in Kalaignar TV is this lady (Kanimozhi)," Special public prosecutor Lalit told the court.While rejecting their bail petition Judge OP Saini ordered their "forthwith" arrest and directed the duo to appear before it at 10 am on Saturday. Kanimozhi and Kumar will be lodged in Delhi's Tihar jail.

After the judge rejected her bail petition, Kanimozhi looked tensed but said that she expected the order. A Raja's wife walked upto her and comforted her.

She also sought permission from the court to get her reading glasses, books and medicines.

Kanimozhi, the daughter of DMK chief and former Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi, has been chargesheeted by the CBI for allegedly accepting Rs 200 crore as bribe for Kalaignar TV, where she is a 20 per cent share holder.
